Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 8 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked crispy
  • 4 toasted sesame seed buns
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Toppings:

  • Butter lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Dill pickle chips

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Form Loose Balls

Divide beef into 8 equal portions (2 oz each). Roll into loose balls – do NOT pack them tight.

Step 2: Smash and Sear
